Working as a contractor for The Private Group Pty Ltd Generally you cannot sub-contract work accepted from The Private Group Pty Ltd, without prior authorisation.  

The next section applies if you are NOT a  partnership or company entity, and are working as a contractor:  
Quotes for work will be global quotes e.g. you will quote to perform the task required, including travel, time, reporting, postage etc.
You are responsible for the provision of your equipment.
You are responsible for the quality of your work.
You are responsible for invoicing the company.
You are responsible for the provision of your ABN or social security number (where applicable).
You are responsible for carrying your own insurance.
You are responsible for rectification works, where required.
You are responsible for your own taxation payment, and superannuation management.
You are able to take other work, from other companies, that does not conflict with work already contracted from The Private Group Pty Ltd.
You are not guaranteed ongoing, or future, work from The Private Group Pty Ltd.  Each engagement is a separate event.  

These are the requirements to basically avoid being classed as an employee by the ATO, which would require tax withholding, tax payments and demands on both you and The Private Group Pty Ltd.  Key amongst these is the requirement for global quotes rather than hourly rates. Failure to comply will mean we cannot employ you as a contractor; there is an obligation on you to advise if you are non-compliant.  

We highly recommend you set up a separate emergency fund, into which you place a small amount of each invoice, to cover illness, injury or other surprises for yourself and your family. We highly recommend you have a separate account for keep money in towards your next tax bill. We highly recommend you pay a small amount from each invoice into your superannuation (to make provision for retirement). If you make it a habit, whenever you receive a paid invoice that you put a bit aside in each, it will save you from the shock of a large bill, and also provide for your retirement.
